Patricia Neijens

Patricia Neijens joined Hartshorne & Mehl in 2024. Prior to joining the firm, Patricia completed her articles at a regional full-service firm in downtown Vancouver and obtained a Masters in American Legal Studies at the Seattle University School of Law. She has assisted in personal injury, family law, and employment law matters at the Supreme Court of British Columbia and the Provincial Court of British Columbia. While earning her law degree at the Peter A. Allard School of Law at UBC, Patricia was Editor-in-Chief (Administrative) of the UBC Law Review. She obtained her Bachelor of Arts from McGill University where she majored in International Development Studies and completed minors in Hispanic Studies and in World Islamic and Middle East Studies.
Patricia’s approach to litigation is grounded in her interdisciplinary and multijurisdictional academic background. She approaches each case without preconceptions and leans on her focus and attention to detail to resolve cases to her clients’ satisfaction, guiding them through the litigation process with care and clarity.
Outside of work, Patricia is a part of Réseau-Femmes, a network for francophone women in British Columbia. Patricia enjoys puzzles, training for 10km races, and attending local events like the Vancouver Writers Fest and the Vancouver International Film Festival.
