Timothy Chang
Lawyer
Timothy Chang joined Hartshorne & Mehl in 2022 after completing his articles in criminal defence and family law in Vancouver. He graduated from UBC with an Honours in Biophysics, studying MRI in his final year. Shortly after graduation, Timothy worked on a summer technical project that highlights blood vessels in the brain on MRIs from the BC Children's Hospital
During his time in the Peter A. Allard School of Law, Timothy was a dedicated volunteer for the Law Students’ Legal Advice Program, where he first gained his initial experience in litigation in provincial courts and various tribunals. Cultivating his passion for litigation, he participated in the Burns Moot in 2020, where he was awarded Best Direct and Cross Examination, and the Criminal Law Clinic in 2021.
Timothy’s approach to litigation employs careful analysis of facts and law as well as balanced and persuasive negotiation in pursuing results most catering to his clients’ needs.
Outside of work, Timothy is dedicated to the pursuit of good health. His passions are mixed martial arts, weightlifting, and competitive ballroom dancing.
